The evolution of society in terms of removing unwanted hair has gone from tweezers, foils, waxes, creams, and lasers, to Electrolysis. Only this method guarantees permanent hair removal, the only one approved by the FDA.
In addition, it provides excellent final results compared to other ways to remove hair and offers versatility when used on any skin tone, making it the best option.
FAQ
Electrolysis is the only method approved by the FDA for permanent hair removal and it’s suitable for every skin type.
Electrolysis involves the insertion of a very fine disposable, sterile probe (as thin as the hair) into the hair follicle. A tiny amount of energy is then skilfully discharged into the follicle destroying the root inhibiting further growth.
Through the use of a very thin electrode, the root of the hair is destroyed and this does not allow it to grow back, since the electrodes do not point to the hair pigment as in the case of the laser, but go towards the follicle.
All areas where hair removal is desired, with the exception of the inside of the ear and the inside of the nose. However, the most common areas are the face, abdomen, armpits, chest, bikini area, and legs.
This will depend on the duration of the session, which has a minimum of 15 minutes. The cost will depend on the amount of hair to be removed and the size of the area to be treated. These aspects will be discussed in the first courtesy consultation, always with the suggestion to attend punctually scheduled appointments to obtain the desired results.
The sensation produced by Electrolysis could be described as uncomfortable, but tolerable. The needle is not felt, only the slight passage of the current, since the small needle never pierces the skin. It simply glides along with the hair until it reaches the follicle.
It should not generate more than a little discomfort, depending on the area to be treated, however, the pain threshold varies greatly from person to person.
Being able to relax is the key to your tolerance. At Hāttī, we make sure to provide you with the most comfortable environment for this.
The topic of Electrolysis during pregnancy is especially popular due to the increased hair growth that expectant mothers often experience. During pregnancy, androgens stimulate hair growth both in places where the hair is already growing and, sometimes, in places where there was previously no significant hair growth. Waxing, shaving, etc., is particularly inconvenient during pregnancy, which is why many expectant mothers turn to Electrolysis to keep hormonal hair growth at bay.
Electrolysis, by not using chemicals, has no adverse effects on the health of the fetus.
For your safety, we have established a mandatory consultation for people who have never undergone this treatment before. The consultation will include:
– Health Assessment: You will be asked to provide basic information about possible pre-existing health conditions, such as diabetes, clotting problems, or belonephobia.
– You will be asked about the previous use of temporary hair removal methods, as well as your hair growth cycle.
– It will explain what the Electrolysis process consists of.
– Questions and concerns will be answered.
We provide you with a free patch test, so you can see how your skin reacts; that way you can experience Electrolysis before scheduling an appointment.
